To drop or not to drop, the saga continues… thank you for all the lovely messages following my rules video – regarding which roads / paths you can drop from. It seems like there are still a “little” bit of a confusion, so I’ve decided to add a photo or three as a further reference. 
Always remember the following words from the Rule of Golf: All players are expected to play in the spirit of the game by – Acting with integrity, for example, by following the Rules, applying all penalties, and being honest in all aspects of play.

Town vs Country

The annual Town vs Country Derby took place on Monday, 17 February, at Kuilsriver Golf Club in hot, windy conditions. Western Province and Boland league teams faced off, with Boland’s team selected based on past league performances.

Stellenbosch was proudly represented by Thalina Verschaeve and Annelie Morkel in the B Division, both winning their matches. While Western Province claimed the A and C divisions, Boland triumphed in the B Division.
Well done, Stellenbosch league players!

Another fun Mixed Competition!

Massive shoutout to Kleine Zalze and everyone who joined us on Sunday in our February Mix Competition & Quiz. Wonderful golf by the “other” Franzsens as Marietjie and husband Andre Franzsen joined Freda Kieviet & Frikkie Doman to secure victory with 85 stableford points.

Forecast is looking great

The forecast is looking great for the next couple of days – hope your golf is booked for the weekend? After your round enjoy our National Open as they tee it up at the beautiful newly revamped Durban Country Club. We have a number of Stellenbosch GC members in the field, Justin Harding & Oliver Bekker & Keenan Davidse & JJ Senekal & Jean Hugo (he will always be a Stellenbosch boy), best of luck to all of them. Who knows comes Sunday!
