| Like many other things in life — phones, cars, and even kettles — golf scoring has finally gone digital! Gone are the days of scribbling numbers on soggy scorecards, flipping through yardage books, or pretending your “rough estimate” was from the fairway. We’re thrilled to announce that ScoreCapture is now our official scoring partner as we tee off into this exciting new era of electronic scoring.
A huge thank you to Ford Stellenbosch for driving this innovation as the proud sponsor of both our traditional and now electronic scorecards. Before long, the paper scorecard will be as old-fashioned as a persimmon driver — so get ahead of the curve, download the app, and let our friendly Pro Shop team show you just how easy it is. Tap, swipe, play… and birdies await!
ScoreCapture – Your questions answered!
With the exciting launch of ScoreCapture during our members’ competition, we received some great questions from the field. Here are a few of the most common ones to help everyone get into the swing of things:
1. How many digital cards per fourball?
Only one player needs to keep score for the group. You can use more than one device if you wish, but it’s not required.
2. Do we still need to hand in a printed scorecard?
No, from now on all competition scoring will be done through ScoreCapture – no printed scorecards needed.
3. How do we sign the digital scorecard?
Once the player keeping score has double-checked everyone’s results, they simply tap “Sign”. Then scroll down to a marker’s name, hand the device to them, review the scores together, and the marker taps “Sign” under their name. Finally, scroll down again to “Save & Send” to submit the card. Easy as that!
4. Where can I view the leaderboard?
You can follow the live leaderboard directly on your device or check it out on the screens provided in the clubhouse.
5. Do I need to create a profile on ScoreCapture?
No need! All members have already been loaded onto the system. You only need to download the app if you’ll be scoring for your group.
Thank you for embracing the future of scoring – one tap closer to your next birdie! |
